I have used all 3 types (on different vehicles) including an RW11000 Pull-pal for over 2 years and gave it a severe beating, including ripping it bodily out of the ground with a high lift jack. It was basically undamaged!
At £269 inc vat and delivery (mainland UK) for the most popular pull-pal which has 11,000 lbs (~5,000kg) pulling power it is also fantastic value for money. Imagine making your own, allowing for 3 versions to get the design right, the bolts, welding, paint and steel, you are likely to spend more than my asking price.
I'm not in this for serious profit, I just have a Volvo habit to keep up!
